Some very nice sheds I found.

My first deer with my 44 mag. Got it at just about 40 yards. First shot dropped it with a spine hit and the second one finished it off with a double lunger.

Jake learned a bit about deer anatomy tonight. It was a small 8 pointer. It was tough to shoot him considering there was a giant about 60 yards away, but it was almost dark and beggars can't be choosers.

Long story short, 17 to 20 deer walked in front of us and we filled our tags.

We can now ride in style to January antlerless! Little guys in the back seat.

A nice 6 pointer by Dave and an 8 by Karlen. On a side note, Dave looked better with his tights, stockings and face mask on. Very pro wrestling-esque in a Jack Black sort of way.

I had 2 hours before I needed to be at work so I thought I would give it a go on the last day of shotgun 1. I sat in the stand at about 10 minutes till 7:00 and within 15 minutes this button buck walked about 30 yards from me. I had him gutted, loaded and was eating biscuits and gravy at BK before 8:00!

Steve got his buck with a bow this morning. Shot it right through the heart. Now he can go back to work.

I was over 20 feet up in the tree, I shot the deer at about 25 yards and he only ran 25 yards after shooting him. It was pretty fun to see him drop so quickly considering that it rarely happens this smoothly with bow hunting. It was perfect. He could have been bigger, but I'm not complaining. And this buck was actually shot exactly one year to the day after last year's buck.

Scope troubles. Missed deer. Scope troubles. Missed deer. Buy new $200 scope. Scope troubles. Cussing. But the morning after the worst day in my hunting history, and the last day of muzzleloader season, I was willing to shoot just about anything. And I did! This little three pointer came from behind me, stayed about ten yards behind me for about five minutes and when he came to my left I aimed at the neck and popped him and dropped him at fifteen yards.

And this burr infested orange vest is free to a loving home if you want to spend an evening getting pricked.

I saw upwards of 30 deer tonight at my chosen muzzleloader spot. This averaged sized doe came within 8 yards of me.

Between 6:00 and 9:00 this morning I saw 16 deer while scouting for a muzzleloader spot.

The bass were not biting so I resorted to an ultra-light rod and a small tube jig in hopes of scaring up a few bluegill. Then I finally landed one. It felt alright, but not huge. Then the line started screaming out as my pole dove. Scott even had to chase the fish down with the trolling motor because so much line was coming out we were afraid it was going to spool me. It took close to 10 minutes to real him in, and after a few failed attempts to net him with Scott’s tiny net we finally got him in. It’s a 13 pound 3 ouncer. I think I’m going to have to catfish this lake in the near future, but without an ultra-light!

Bowling for ticks! I guess you had to be there.

Moose turd.

It got really windy Monday.

A 40+ Northern tried to eat a 17 inch Walley that Skip was reeling in.

The nest is at least seven feet wide.

It's huge! It's a fighter! It's a log....

Skip pondering his catch.
